Open Gym Hours & Policy
Iron CrossFit owners & staff has decided that, in order deliver the most effective CrossFit class with the best coaching and atmosphere for our members, we need to be more strict with our open gym policy.
What is open gym?
Open gym is scheduled on Wodify and is available for anyone to come. This is not a coached class. It's a great opportunity to work on skills/strength/wods you are already familiar and comfortable with. It is NOT the time to work on things you have never done or are very new to like snatches and more advanced movements. If you have been at Iron CrossFit less than 4 months, it is better to stick with the classes at first until you are more proficient.
We will be announcing some new open gym times to help anyone who wants to put in some extra work. (Those will be announced this weekend.)
Before and After classes you are encouraged stretch/roll out and you're welcome to warm up on the rowers. However we won't be allowing any members to work out or practice skills (handstands/pullups/muscleups/etc.) during the next class.
This is to benefit all the classes to allow for ample room, no distractions, improved safety and a better overall experience.
The only exception to this rule is for coaches who are permitted, under certain guidelines, to work on their own as a perk for being a coach here at Iron.
