What Is CrossFit?

Crossfit is a strength and conditioning program that focuses on performing scalable functional movements that are constantly varied at high intensity for maximal results.  The movements you can expect to see in a typical CrossFit class include pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running and gymnastics.

What Is Iron CrossFit and Is It Right For You?

So what does that mean, exactly?  At Iron CrossFit, our programs are designed to help your body move the way it is supposed to.  Beginner and advanced athletes experience challenging and fun workouts designed to help them reach their fitness and genetic potential.  According to Greg Glassman, founder of CrossFit:   "The typical gym workout makes you sweat… makes you tired... but a lot of people are closer to doing nothing than they realize."  We couldn’t agree more.  You will not find rows of elliptical machines, treadmills and weight machines.  You will find barbells, kettlebells, pull up bars, rings and open space for running, jumping, climbing, lifting, and squatting. Your workouts will focus on movements that help you in your day-to-day activities or whatever sport or recreational activities you do.  Our workouts are constantly varied – which means you will never get bored or spend hours and hours in the gym doing the same thing over and over again.  We transform our clients with the Crossfit Methodology to build strength and carve your body into the shape that nature intended.  We aim to improve your capacity in ten recognized fitness domains:  cardio-respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy.

Our members experience more than just a physical transformation.  With strength and increased physical fitness and performance, many of our members see a crossover in their personal lives with less stress, increased confidence and a renewed passion for living in general.  Some have described it as finding their fire again.

If you give Iron CrossFit a try, you can expect real results that far exceed what you thought was possible for you and your fitness goals.
